In Money magazine’s 2013 Best Places to Live rankings, Hillsborough was ranked 16th in the nation, the third-highest among the three places in New Jersey included in the top 50 list. As such, Hillsborough’s population has increased to over 40,000, from 11,000 in the 1970’s. Hillsborough is home to Duke Gardens and Duke Farms, a 2,700 acre estate that is now one of the few remaining “preserved” natural areas in Hillsborough Township. Encamped in Sourland Mountain during the Revolutionary War, General George Washington ran drills with his soldiers using corn stalks as pretend guns. This fooled the British into thinking the colonists had received reinforcement troops and weapons, and caused them to retreat to New Brunswick. We have been serving Hillsborough, NJ and surrounding communities of Neshanic Station, Skillman, Belle Mead and other communities in Hillsborough & Montgomery Townships since 1979.
